My first view of the Impala when I went to go look at it in Canora, SK. Bumper looks alittle bent, but not too bad. | Interior rear view...love that rear seat cover (NOT). | Interior front view... that shifter and gauges have got to go, but overall not too bad at all. | Body looks straight, some rust on both fenders and rear quarter panels. Cragar S/S mags I like, but these are beyond repair. I didn't even take pictures of the engine because I just assumed that it would be swapped out. |
I wanted to make an Impala SS clone, so I bought a floor shift steering column from ebay. | Then came the 3-speed automatic console and caprice gauges, again from ebay. | To accommodate buckets seats and console, I got the mounting brackets for the seats, shifter and console (all from ebay). | Try and find a 3-speed auto shifter (alot of old power-glide 2-speed)...finally got one from a junk dealer in Kansas. |
Finally, the snow is gone and I can get her home. | Alot of gunk remover and some power washing, but it's starting to look clean. | The outside of the car looks pretty good, I really like those Cragar S/S mags...going to have to find a new set someplace. | Impala S/S trunk emblem that I had to test fit...also put one on the grill. |
