REDSAYNO
REDSAYNO was a Winnipeg trio who has has recently gained local acclaim, enchanting audiences with their effectively hypnotic washes and colorful rhythms. Standing at the forefront of a rapidly blossoming art-rock and experimental scene, Redsayno aims mainly at creating an intense and intimate atmosphere with their live show. Evidently, their passion and sincerity towards their musical brew is unquestionable.
Skillful and imaginative percussion form a trance-like base from which intermingling guitars pulse and surge, creating lush soaring melodies which can rise into frighteningly raw dimensions of rock n' roll aggression, or fall into dreamy atmospheric grooves. The songs themselves, although contrived with care, merely serve as engines, which allow instantaneous creativity to surface. One can hardly help but to be carried along by the drone-like waves of Redsayno's compositions, allowing the musicians themselves power to alter the listener's mood.
Nearly a year and a half after their debut performance in Winnipeg's exchange district, Redsayno completed their first full-length album, which was officially released at the Gas Station Theatre in Winnipeg on May 7, 2004.
