Blood Music
Blood Music was, to many that have seen their live shows, one of the most prolific musical acts to ever dot the prairie landscape. They had been gathering a large following in Saskatoon and beyond for years under the previous names of the Watercolour Movement and the Suns. They carved out a new dimension of delay/reverb-soaked space rock that tested many sonic barriers. Although they played their last show in August of 2004, a new album has been release entitled This Year In Drugs.

This Year In Drugs This final recording of Blood Music is the centerpiece of their legacy and one of the finest recordings to ever be produced in the Prairies. This album is the definitive artifact of the thunderous sounds that made Blood Music local legends of the Saskatoon space-rock-reverb-avalanche landscape. |

Blood Music (out of print) Following the smoketrails left behind by the first Verve album, Funkadelic's excursions on aversion, Bardo Ponds heavy machinery launching pad antics, and a gaggle of other references which would turn this intro into a book the size of Greenland... Many deafening jams later and here we are, ready to abuse eardrums and take it out, out there... |
